Welcome to Templestowe Junior Football Club (TJFC), we make starting footy simple, affordable, and family‑friendly.

We’ve been part of the local community since 1969 (formerly Doncaster Heights JFC) and now proudly call Templestowe Reserve home—carrying forward the strong traditions of the “Heighters” while welcoming the next generation of players and families.

Football for every child, from beginners to budding stars

We welcome boys and girls aged 7–17, from those trying football for the very first time to players who want to grow their skills and confidence.

At TJFC, kids will:

• Make new friends in a safe, supportive environment
• Learn skills at their own pace
• Have development opportunities through our partnership with Vida
• Build confidence, fitness, and teamwork
• Most importantly—have fun

We offer teams from Auskick right through to Youth, and compete in the Eastern Football Netball League—giving players a clear, well‑supported pathway as they grow.

For more than 50 years, TJFC has built a positive, inclusive club culture that puts children and families first. While we’re proud of our on‑field success—34 premierships and counting—what matters most to us is:

• Safe sport with quality umpiring, strong child safeguarding culture
• Creating a club where families feel welcome and involved

Our award‑winning Football Pathway Program, developed in partnership with Fremantle Football Club, supports players from Auskick through to senior football, reinforcing skill development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship at every stage. Our older players have the opportunity to play the annual Docker Cup through our relationship with Burnie Dockers in Tasmania.

Growing great players—and great young people

Our Young Leaders Program gives older players the chance to grow beyond the field. Supported by professional football mentors and community leaders, participants can:

• Participate in our girls only Girl Squad for primary aged girls wanting to try football
• Umpire and coach junior teams
• Mentor younger players
• Help run club events
• Build leadership skills for life, not just football
